Life screams by so fast, doesn't it??

Our blog is all about connecting the dots of daily life....

And helping our long distance family stay connected to us.

I'm not that good at baby books so decided this would be a good place to leave a polka dotted trail of Sy's childhood...

So that 20 years from now, we can look back and see what was going on in the daily life of our little family.

A bread crumb trail so to speak!

You are welcome to drop in anytime and see what we are up to.

Flashback Friday {1st Birthday}

In anticipation of Sy's 3rd Birthday....I thought a flashback of his 1st would be fun.....

Aunt Ha and PaPa Tom flew in for the big event and to help make the big birthday cake

We spent literally all day in the kitchen....from morning until at least 6:30 or so....making his birthday cake.

It was a fun day in the kitchen and a memory I will always cherish. My Dad and Sis and I baking together and having a fun time. Making messes, mistakes, fixing them, getting creative, and most of all lots of smiles and laughter

And Sylas in the middle of the kitchen in his bouncie seat...taking in all the action. What a fun day!

I must have taken too many pics of Sylas that day, because he started squinting everytime I got the camera out. The flash must have been too much. Ooops....I was a new Momma and didn't know!
I think at this point, Sylas is thinking...seriously guys, is the cake done yet??

And Finally.....

Yumm...Yummm! Green Turtle Cake!!

Then...it was time for cleanup....lots of dishes to be done!
Sylas was a big helper working right beside PaPa...look at those chunky baby legs!
Oh how I love them!
Then time for clean up of the birthday boy....we were still kind of new at the bathtime routine.
The laundry room sink was the perfect size for our little chunka munka....those days are gone!
PaPa Tom got to help out too....washed his hair for him and was so careful not to get any water in his eyes.
What a good PaPa!
This picture isn't of water in his eyes....he is yawning and so READY for BED! Poor guy, I think we tired him out in all the excitement!
At last, a fresh, clean baby!
What a birthday!
Happy First Birthday Baby Sylas!
