It's quarter till 10 in the morning...and our birthday boy is still getting his beauty sleep!
We were so exited for him and were WAITING and WAITING for him to WAKE UP!!
He slept and slept....somehow knowing he would need lots of energy for the day ahead. Every night we were at the "cation house" (translation: vacaction house) he would choose a train to put on the night stand. It always involved Annie and Clarabel and one other train. You can see Thomas the Train and the coaches waiting patiently for the birthday boy to wake up as well!
And finally...a sleepy eyed boy woke up and was very surprised to see that his birthday table had been set.
The Silly Hat is on...and so it the birthday party!!
A Breakfast of Trains, Pancakes and Bacon. Now that's a way to start the day!
Quite possibly his favorite present of the day....his birthday card from Aunt Cake and Uncle Michael.
He loves to point out the handwriting at the bottom of the card and tell everyone what it says "Happy Birthday Sylas...Love Aunt Cake and Uncle Michael" The poor card took a beating for several days after his birthday too...it was read countless times!!
Present opening began immediately following breakfast...there was no waiting around on this one.
He already knew where all his presents were stashed all over the condo...in closets, in Grandma and Grandpa Ds room, in boxes, he knew all the spots.
He was very patient about waiting until we gave him the green light though....even when Granpda tried to help him sneak a few presents ahead of schedule!!! Sneaky Grandpa.
Then....off to the beach to try out our new birthday presents!
Uh....Mom...I think you forgot to run spell check?
Back to work digging in the sand...
Playing at the beach is exhausting....
I think I'll lay here for a minute and take a rest.
Or maybe I should take a little snooze....
No, just kidding!!!
Then a little fishing time with Uncle Michael...
Here is my Fish Face!
Oh, and my Smiley Face too!
Some snuggle time with Grammy D is the best.
Time to pack up.
Time for dinner.
Time for Pizza and Birthday Cake!
Helping Granpda with the wagon. Grandpa was "Neville and train" and Sy was "Thomas the Train".
They pulled the heavy "freight car" all the way home!
A big huff and puff blowing out the candles!
Happy, Happy Birthday to our sweet boy.
We LOVE you more than words can ever express!
P.S........
I forgot to add that as we cuddled in bed after his long birthday....trying to nod off to sleep,
He snuggled into my arms and said...
I quote....
"I tired......worked all day!"
Enough said.

Sylas, Happy, Happy 3rd Birthday!! What a way to celebrate your Birthday at the "Cation House" with Grandma and Grandpa D. Now I know why at the end of the day you said, "I tired, worked all day." My Little Engineer is Three Years Old and I Love You Sooooo Very Much.
"Train up a child i n the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6
Get on board the Sylas train, cause he is going to show us new exicting things as he grows in the Lord.
