I don't have a picture of the exact moment...but it's etched in my memory (for now...I'm blogging so it'll come back to me later!)
We are having dinner at the table. The three of us Sy, Daddio, and Me.....It is Spaghetti night, which means messy night. Sylas loves his "Sgetti" and digs in with both hands. Yes, hands, not a fork....ah well!
Seth and I are chatting along about who knows what...and I glance over at Sylas. He is giving me a side ways sneak, like he is so famous for, with a smirk on his face...then puts his "sgetti" encrusted fist high up the air and shouts "SUPER POWERS!!!"
I. have. no. idea.....where this came from, but it just cracked me up so much. I don't know why, mabye becuase that's what I'd envision a little boy to do and to me it showed that he is becoming more of a "little boy" and not a baby or a toddler. So many things that he does these days show me how he is changing into boyhood, which is adorable and sad and fun all at the same time. Nonetheless...there was nothing sad about this moment, I laughed so hard I almost made a "sgetti mess" of my own plate. And that fueled his "super powers!" even more. He would pause with his smurky look and sparkling eyes and then shout "SUPER POWERS!" again with fist in the air. Such a funny moment....hmm, wondering if I need to change my plan for his halloween costume??
