Life screams by so fast, doesn't it??

Our blog is all about connecting the dots of daily life....

And helping our long distance family stay connected to us.

I'm not that good at baby books so decided this would be a good place to leave a polka dotted trail of Sy's childhood...

So that 20 years from now, we can look back and see what was going on in the daily life of our little family.

A bread crumb trail so to speak!

You are welcome to drop in anytime and see what we are up to.

GoodByes...are hard

We are back from an amazing family trip "up north"...and got spoiled big time! A week full of warm, sun shiny days, golden fall colors, scenic drives, long hikes, panoramic overlooks, sand, rock hunting, sunsets and most important of all....FAMILY!!!

We stayed for the beach sunset in Sleeping Bear Dunes one night and it was well worth it. A night I hope to remember for years to come. We did some precious rock hunting and played on the sand dunes and snuggled to stay warm...and then the sky began to turn pink and the glassy water a shade of purple...

And Sylas began to wave out to the sunset saying "Bye, Sun!"

Our first sunset shared with Sylas and MeMe and Papa Too!
Today we had to say "Bye" to MeMe and PaPa which was a lot less fun than the sunset. Goodbyes are hard, I've never liked them and probably never will. For some reason, I feel like I've had to say more than my fair share of goodbyes in this lifetime already. Maybe someday that'll change.
But for now, goodbye MeMe and PaPa, we love you and are so thankful that you came to play! See you soon!!!!

I agree we both have had our fair share of goodbyes - but all the good times are etched in my memory forever.
