Thankful Thursday

{Thankful}: Grandparents

Sy and I had a fantastic week with MeMe and PaPa. So incredibly thankful for all the fun memories we created this past week with them. The weather was great and we were able to get alot of fun day trips in...and even put a swingset in the backyard for Sylas! MeMe and PaPa rode the train from Kansas last Thursday and we picked them up downtown Thursday night. We put Sy in the car that night and told him we were going to pick up MeMe and PaPa. He repeated their names almost constantly for the entire car ride to the train station. We kept reassuring him that we'd see them soon! It was so cute. When we finally saw MeMe and PaPa it was almost as if Sy couldn't believe his eyes. He looked at them for a while with great caution, and then it turned into a hugging and happy dancing festival. Sylas really enjoying having his MeMe and PaPa around all week to love on and play toys with. He always had someone to carry him everywhere we went, he ate lots of cookies and even a lollipop (thanks MeMe and PaPa!). It was really hard to say goodbye to our dear MeMe and PaPa this morning...even harder than usual because of the nice week we had together. Sylas, you are a lucky little guy to have such awesome Grandparents. They love you with their whole hearts and that is so easy. I hope you will someday understand how much you are loved by your MeMe and PaPa....although, I know you love them with your whole little heart too. That was evident this week as well!
