Life screams by so fast, doesn't it??

Our blog is all about connecting the dots of daily life....

And helping our long distance family stay connected to us.

I'm not that good at baby books so decided this would be a good place to leave a polka dotted trail of Sy's childhood...

So that 20 years from now, we can look back and see what was going on in the daily life of our little family.

A bread crumb trail so to speak!

You are welcome to drop in anytime and see what we are up to.

A Train Making Project.....

Sylas has been dragging around an empty diapers box tied up to one of his riding trucks for a few weeks now....with a little make believe,
His riding truck if Thomas the Train and the box Thomas' coaches, Annie and Clarabel.

So we decided to see if we could transform the pampers box into a more realistic looking Annie and Clarabel....

A trip to the craft store for Brown and Black Paint...a nap in between...and then we were ready to give it a try!

Sleeves rolled up and the painting begins.

Cough, cough...why does paint that is supposed to be kid friendly and NON-TOXIC smell so very toxic???

Humm....I'm starting to wonder about this go getter of an idea. Ah, well...we crack a few windows and soldier on.
Daddio picked up some of the slack when we had to run for fresher air....thanks Daddio. You are our HERO!
And finally, a few days later after paint has fully dried and aired out on the patio.....
A Happy Train Driver with a heavy load to pull!!!
He emptied an entire toy basket into his new train and took off.
All smiles!

And every once in a while, I get to be the lucky train driver.....
but I'm pretty sure my load is the heaviest of all
37 lbs worth to be exact....
we need to get some wheels on Annie&Clarabel ASAP!!!

A project for another day.

Sylas, great job painting your train. May I have a ride in Anna and Clairabel? Looks like lots of fun.
