Life screams by so fast, doesn't it??

Our blog is all about connecting the dots of daily life....

And helping our long distance family stay connected to us.

I'm not that good at baby books so decided this would be a good place to leave a polka dotted trail of Sy's childhood...

So that 20 years from now, we can look back and see what was going on in the daily life of our little family.

A bread crumb trail so to speak!

You are welcome to drop in anytime and see what we are up to.

Gotta love the kid table....

The famous "kids table" at Christmas time was in full force this year. It started out fairly refined with Dylan putting on table napkins for a table cloth, setting out plates and real forks...and the kids patiently waiting for food, having light conversation. I overheard Sylas talking to Patrick from across the table "Hi, Patrick...how you doing?" (His famous conversation starter)

Then, once the food came out it was every kid for himself. It got pretty wild...even a covert corn eating contest got under way. Patrick couldn't keep up with the corn cob snarffing Sylas so he would take a single bite of his corn and then stuff the entire corn cob under the table and onto the floor..then go ask for more! Gotta love the spirit of creativity and competition.

Then it became more about getting UP from the table and bugging the parents for random things than actually sitting and eating...ah, the fun begins. The adults thoughts went something like this..."we just want to enjoy this nice sit down adult meal. PLEAAAASE!!!??"

It was a test of patience to say the least.
Blood was shed before the meal was over, thankfully it was a small accident that a band-aid could repair...and was NOT parent inflicted :0)
Poor Megan, took a good tumble in all the kid craziness. She is one tough girl though and knows how to handle an busted eyebrow like a champ.

It was a beautiful and delicious Christmas dinner...and we even made it all the way through dessert! Whew!
