I wish....
that I could share my home all decked out in Christmas celebration with my Kansas family
I wish....
I could invite them all over to snuggle inside where it's warm and cozy on a snowy winters evening
I wish...
I could make them a hardy soup and some Christmas sweets for desert
I wish....
We could gather around the dinner table and tell funny stories that make us laugh and laugh till it hurts.
I wish.....
Grandma Juan would be there in her snowflake dress and red suede shoes, with a plate of her famous Hawaiian fudge in her hands.
I wish....
I could have all my family, filling my house with laughter and commotion, the way....only they can do.
I wish....
They weren't so far away.....
Oh I wish, this was only a wish, that really could come true!

This is too much for me to handle. We have to know God has a plan for us to all live closer to one another some day soon. You have made me cry. But please know that by reading your entry, I felt like I was in your home having soup and cookies. It is true what they say about being near in heart!
I share the same senitments. I wish all these things plus more. Mom really was coming over in her snowflake dress, red suade shoes and all her goodies, Hawaiian Fudge and Buttermilk Balls. And Dad in pulling up to the table and asking if I put plenty of sage in the dressing. But I know they are together feasting at the table spread for them in Heaven. I wonder if they danced the Big Apple on New Year's Eve - celebrating their 71st Wedding Anniversary?
