Life screams by so fast, doesn't it??

Our blog is all about connecting the dots of daily life....

And helping our long distance family stay connected to us.

I'm not that good at baby books so decided this would be a good place to leave a polka dotted trail of Sy's childhood...

So that 20 years from now, we can look back and see what was going on in the daily life of our little family.

A bread crumb trail so to speak!

You are welcome to drop in anytime and see what we are up to.

Christmas at Sy's House!!!

As it turned out...Santa did understand about there not being very many cookies for him. At least we think he was ok with it...because he left TONS of presents under the tree!

It was a classic Christmas with lots of new toys to investigate and lots of little packages wrapped in Santa paper to be torn to shreds.

Sylas was a little shocked at all the new toys and new set up downstairs by the tree, and was pretty quiet at first but then kept saying "Thank you, Santa!"

Of course, Santa knows Sy well and brought lots and lots of TRAIN presents. That was an easy guess.
The first smile of "Christmas" morning....he found Henry, the Number 3 Engine, in his stocking....the power those little trains hold, pretty amazing!
Now Sylas is talking about Santa coming to his house quite a bit. He says, "Santa, presents, Sy!"
We had seen Santa on Friday night, no sit on your lap kind of Santa visit, but we did wave to him from afar, which was close enough for Sy.
I asked if he wanted to go talk to Santa his response..."Nope."
So I asked if he wanted Santa to come to his house..."Nope."
Lastly....do you want Santa to bring you presents? His response was a smile and "Yes!"
Then after a long pause "Nope."
I'm guessing after he thought about it for a moment he realized that if Santa's brining presents, then he must be coming to his house..and that would be back to "Nope"
Well I'm pretty sure Sylas was ok with Santa coming....without exactly being invited.
Maybe he'll be formally invited next year....time will tell!

What reasoning to think through Santa would have to come to his house to leave the presents and he really preferred not to see Santa - Pretty smart boy! Looks like Santa snuck in and left presents without encountering a personal visit. Sy is such a good boy and deserves every present and gift.
