Life screams by so fast, doesn't it??

Our blog is all about connecting the dots of daily life....

And helping our long distance family stay connected to us.

I'm not that good at baby books so decided this would be a good place to leave a polka dotted trail of Sy's childhood...

So that 20 years from now, we can look back and see what was going on in the daily life of our little family.

A bread crumb trail so to speak!

You are welcome to drop in anytime and see what we are up to.

Aunt "Cake" and Uncle Michael

A few weeks ago Aunt "Cake" and Uncle Michael came to visit. It was a fun few days hanging out with them and sharing some summer fun together! We braved the warm weather and went to the Zoo...Sylas took this picture below of his beloved Aunt and Uncle. He loves to take pictures now, especially pictures of himself! He says "CHEESE" with the camera pointed in his own faced and clicks away. Watch for a post with some of his self portraits coming up....truly some modern art!

We spent the weekend in Chicago and thought Sylas would enjoy the airshow on the lake....he had a better idea. Taking a nap in the park during the airshow! We were amazed that he slept through the loud jets flying over head.
The LEGO store was a must....it was serious work getting a barn scene put together. He even scored a lego train set from his Aunt and Uncle....who would have guessed?!

After the weekend was through and we said our good byes, it was evident Sylas still had his Aunt "Cake" and Uncle Michael on his mind. At breakfast time on Monday, we said our prayers for the day and Sylas made sure I prayed for his Aunt and Uncle....he folded his hands in prayer and said "Cake..Michael". So you both are blessed with Sy's prayers Aunt Katy and Uncle Michael! We love you guys!

That's so sweet. I love that he calls her "Cake." We'll have to put the Lego store on our list of places not to miss next time we head in to the city! So fun!
