Thankful Thursday {My Corner of the World}

Sy and I were snuggeling this morning in this very spot.....and I remembered....I'm so THANKFUL for this place.

This snuggly corner of the couch that has just the perfect amount of room for me and my little boy....a place where the sun can find us and warm our faces while we snuggle, look out the window, burrow under pillows and blankets and hide from dinosaurs or daddio,

The place where we cuddle close and read a pile of books after naptime.

The place where we can go to watch the chipmunks scurry around making nests under our front porch.

The place where we can be warm inside when it's cold and snowy, but be close enough to a big window that we feel like we aren't completely trapped in. (Thankgoodness for spring and those days are long gone for a while)

Sometimes we love to lay flat on our back and look out the window with this perspective....we see birds fly by and sometimes the clouds are moving through.

It's such a neat viewpoint and reminds me that I'm just a little incy pincy peace of this big beautiful planet. It reminds me that my creator, my heavenly father is up in the heavens looking down on me and providing and caring deeply for me just as I do for my own child.



We spend some quality time in this little corner of the world and I love it, really, really love it. It's my most favorite spot in our house by far and ranks up there with one of my fav places to be worldwide....

a place where my spirit is contented and can breathe and can heal when it needs to sometimes.

I love that I can say to Sylas....let's go to our "super, special, snuggly place!" and he gives a big smile and goes running through the house and dives into that corner of the couch with gusto. I think he loves this spot as much as I do.
