Life screams by so fast, doesn't it??

Our blog is all about connecting the dots of daily life....

And helping our long distance family stay connected to us.

I'm not that good at baby books so decided this would be a good place to leave a polka dotted trail of Sy's childhood...

So that 20 years from now, we can look back and see what was going on in the daily life of our little family.

A bread crumb trail so to speak!

You are welcome to drop in anytime and see what we are up to.

Sy's First Prayer

The sweetest thing happened tonight. It brought tears to my eyes because of how completely pure and honest and full of love it was.....Sy said his first prayer tonight, all on his own.

So here goes the story.....Daddio has been putting in some long hours for the past 8 plus days because of some disasters at work. He's been working his tail off and it's been hard for all of us. Hard for him, hard for me because I'm not used to the "single mom role", and hard for Sylas because he misses his "Dadda".

Sylas and I have been sending lots of prayers up for Daddio lately, praying that Jesus would help him with his work and to bring him home safely on those late night drives home. Sy will fold his hands in prayer and wait for me to finish and then we say "Amen!" We usually do this at mealtime or at bedtime.

Well tonight I'm changing Sy's diaper after dinner. Daddio wasn't home yet, but we were expecting him at anytime. Sylas is laying on the changing table and spontaneously fold his hands in prayer and whispers "Dadda, work, amen".....it was one of the most graceful things I've ever witnessed. A pure and sweet and lovely prayer from Sylas for his Dadda.

What a sweet soul you are Sylas, you just keep getting sweeter and sweeter!
