Life screams by so fast, doesn't it??

Our blog is all about connecting the dots of daily life....

And helping our long distance family stay connected to us.

I'm not that good at baby books so decided this would be a good place to leave a polka dotted trail of Sy's childhood...

So that 20 years from now, we can look back and see what was going on in the daily life of our little family.

A bread crumb trail so to speak!

You are welcome to drop in anytime and see what we are up to.

The Naptime Drive

So each and EVERYDAY to get my active little guy to take a nap....we load up in the car and take a drive. We've been doing this song and dance for almost a year now. It's proven time and again to be the ONLY WAY to get a naptime in (and for me to stay sane in the process!) So here is a pic of Sylas getting on board the sleepy train for the naptime drive. Dad-io bought him his beloved "Snuff" a while back and he has latched on to this little guy ever since. He loves to pull on his trunk and say "stuck"....which is a reinactment of an episode on Sesame Street where an elephant keeps getting stuck. It took us a while to figure that one out, but now it makes complete sense! Sometimes Snuff even goes places with us, like to Gymboree, the grocery store, or a restaurant. He gets carried around by his trunk, but doesn't seem to mind. And lastly.....10 minutes later we pull back in the driveway with a sleeping Sy. What a beautiful thing!

That's awesome, Sarah! Noah falls asleep in the car all the time, but we can never get him in the house without waking him up and he refuses to go back to sleep!
